RESTAURANT TABLES - ALRESFORD, UK

We had the opportunity to work on our biggest project to date for The Town House in Alresford, UK: 19 recycled plastic table tops.

The owners contacted us because they had previously bought some of our Sand Peony coasters, and asked if we could make them, but big! The challenge was accepted.

In total, we made sixteen 760mm square tops, and three 900mm round, all at 20mm thickness, totalling around 220kg of plastic.

For the square tables, we pressed large rectangular sheets at about 1800mm by 800mm - from one sheet, we could then cut out two square table tops.

It was also another opportunity to collaborate with Thomas Gontar at Glynde Forge, who made the wonderful hand-forged steel legs.

ANGELA'S & DORY'S

RESTAURANT TABLES & COUNTERTOPS - MARGATE, UK

For Michelin-starred seafood restaurant Angela’s of Margate, UK, we crafted fourteen marble-like table tops in neutral-white with streaks, veins and wisps of dark green.

Just over 200kg of waste LDPE plastic packaging was collected from Brighton and Hove businesses for the making of the table tops.

Sister restaurant Dory’s of Margate also asked us to create the countertops of their gorgeous seafood bar, which incorporated another 100kg of waste plastic in black, white, clear tones, with bright veins of yellow.

DINING & CONSOLE TABLE TOPS - LONDON, UK

Extra large 8 seater dining table top (2400 x 1150 x 30mm), and two console table tops (1150 x 600 x 30mm) doubling up as dining extensions for special occasions.

Weighing approx 115kg in total, equivalent to 8,000 plastic bags.

Deep forest green, textured sand, and pale rose pink marbled with crisp white veins. Based off our coaster coaster colourway Sand Peony.

WHAT IS THE LARGEST SIZE YOU CAN MAKE IN ONE PIECE?

We can make any size and thickness up to 2400 x 1200 x 30mm, enough for a generous 8 seater dining table. Table and bar tops larger than this will be made in two pieces, however in some circumstances we are able to heat-fuse the surface for a seamless finish. Different profiles are also available, including chamfered and bullnose.

Can you ship abroad?

Yes, however please note that any duty, import and customs fees are the responsibility of the client.

Are you able to create bespoke pieces using my colour palette?

Yes! Because of our colour mixing methods, we are able to create bespoke colourways in endless combinations. We are used to working to design briefs, Pantones, or matching brand colours; making pieces to match the décor of a room; or working from mood boards - whichever way works best for your project.

Whilst we are always able to incorporate all of your design colours into our larger pieces, certain proportions of colours are sometimes harder to create, due to our waste plastic sources. However, please share your ideas with us and we’ll see what’s possible!
